Introduction of our District Governor
My theme for the year is “REACH FOR THE STARS” as nothing is beyond our reach in Lions and I am testament to that. It also means try you’re hardest and never give up.
My goal this year is to achieve full District status in our own right, with a minimum of 35 Lions Clubs all in good standing and over 1250 members, we have achieved one of those requirements we have 50 clubs but not the other we only have 1205 members so we need another minimum of over 50 new members net by the end of this year, My challenge to all Clubs in the District is to have a net increase of at least 2. members this year , as we have been in transition for far to long and it wont be too long before LCI will be looking at redistricting us again if we don’t get out of Transition, Help Me Achieve This Goal.
I will be pushing International President Al Brandels Theme of Miracles Through Service and Lions are Everyday Hero’s, his program embraces looking after our own communities, with hands on projects , and getting due recognition for what we do, and not be just cheque writers, to often we are asked to donate to worthy causes and we do, but get no recognition, the amount we donate becomes a mere part of a total without recognition, he wants us to make the donation ourselves so we get the recognition we deserve, and so the public that we raise the money from know where our funds we raise go to.
