Making Memories - Dementia

Our memories define our lives. They help us learn, grow and connect us with our loved ones. However when people develop dementia, their memory can fade.

Across Australia, it is estimated that 234,640 people are living with dementia. Nearly one million Australians are involved in the care of someone with dementia.

To celebrate our precious memories and raise awareness of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, we invite you to enter the Making Memories Patchwork Quilt Competition. The competition encourages people to submit a quilting block that represents a special memory to them.

Alzheimer's Australia has developed the ‘Mind your Mind' program which identifies seven factors for a brain healthy lifestyle, to help reduce the risk of dementia. For more information visit: www.alzheimers.org.au
